Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the extent to which perceived organizational support can mediate the relationship between work-family conflict and job burnout among employees of PT. Solo Murni. In this study, there were 111 respondents who were selected using non-probability sampling. Data collection was conducted through a survey and data analysis was performed using the PLS 3.0 program. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the variables of work-family conflict and perceived organizational support. In addition, the variable of work-family conflict also had a positive and significant relationship with the variable of job burnout. Furthermore, the variable of perceived organizational support was also found to have a positive and significant relationship with the variable of job burnout. The study also found that the variable of perceived organizational support played a role as a mediator between the relationship between the variables of work-family conflict and the variable of job burnout. These findings suggest that the level of perceived support from the organization can influence the extent to which the conflict between work and family affects the level of job burnout. Therefore, the results of this study provide an important contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence job burnout in the workplace.
