Abstract

Mental health is a problem that is currently unresolved, both nationally and globally. Even after the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in negative impacts such as an increase in mental problems and mental disorders. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. Qualitative data analysis techniques use concepts according to Miles and Huberman. This research has received ethical clearance from the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto institution with registration number KEPK/UMP/50/VIII/2023. The purpose of writing this scientific article is to describe the psychoreligious activities implemented by the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic boarding school. The research objects used were mental disorder patients and administrators of mental disorder patients at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic boarding school. The results of the research obtained the following results: 1) placement of patients with mental disorders, 2) the patient's condition when first admitted, 3) categories and criteria for patients who carry out psychoreligious activities, 4) provision of flexible psychoreligious activities, 5) effectiveness of psychoreligious activities for patients with mental disorders. Many treatment efforts have been implemented to help people with mental disorders regain better health. As is done at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic boarding school, which is a private institution that provides preventive measures as well as rehabilitation and treatment efforts for people with mental disorders. Therapy at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School is not given by doctors or mental nurses, but by caregivers at the Islamic boarding school.
