Abstract

The primary issue of this study is to find the racism experienced by black people in Where Hands Touch Movie. The purpose of this study is to identify indicators of racism in Where Hands Touch Movie, secondly to describe the racism reflected in Where Hands Touch Movie and the last to reveal the reasons of addressing racism against the black in Where Hands Touch Movie. This study uses literary study. This study uses two data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The primary data source is Where Hands Touch Movie and the secondary data source are data that support the analysis. The theory used in this study is social psychology theory. The data collection technique in this study uses document analysis and the data analysis technique used is qualitative. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that racism in black people in the film Where Hands Touch is described as racial prejudice, stereotypes, racial discrimination, and racial violence, then the depiction of racism in this film as seen through characters, settings, and events, and Amma Asante as the director wants to show racism in the film Where Hands Touch because she always opposes racism for everyone who gets it.
