Abstract

Energy is the main potential that must exist in the development of developing technology, there is a lot of energy that can be utilized well in this modern era. for example, hydroelectric power plants which use river water as a medium or place to produce alternative electrical energy aimed at community life, especially for lighting public roads outside the control or reach of state power plants. The research aims to design an alternative hydroelectric power plant intended for areas or villages that do not yet have electricity, therefore this hydroelectric power plant can be used as an energy source with the power produced. The author can overcome the problems that exist with the lack of electrical energy sources by designing alternative hydropower plants as sources of electrical energy. The experimental method was carried out with equipment that can generate electrical energy such as generators, turbines, batteries, pzem dc current sensors and 10 watt light loads. The simulation was carried out by looking for a source of water discharge that was strong enough to be able to rotate the turbine so that the generator could produce a source of electrical energy and be able to turn on a 10 watt light load. This design was carried out 10 times with a turbine speed of between 800 rpm - 830 rpm. the higher it is. The power data obtained from the experimental results is between 8.33 watts - 9.48 watts. The load used in this experiment was a 10 watt lamp. It can be concluded that the author can carry out experiments with the power that can be produced so that it is possible that this experiment can be useful for villages or areas that lack a supply of electrical energy sources.
