Abstract
The quality of nursing services is one of the things that can affect patient satisfaction because nurses as health workers interact directly for 24 hours with patients. The results of interviews with inpatients at UNS Hospital found that there were still patients who complained because they were not satisfied with the nursing services provided. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing services and patient satisfaction in the inpatient room of UNS Hospital. This type of study is analytical deskritive with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling using simple random sampling technique as many as 99 respondents. This research instrument uses a nursing care effectiveness questionnaire sheet to measure the quality of nursing services which includes indicators of availability, reliability, simplicity, sensitivity, low cost, stability, timeliness, and the PSQ-18 questionnaire to measure the level of patient satisfaction. The results showed that the majority of patients in the inpatient room of UNS Hospital aged 36-45 years were 43 respondents (43%), female gender was 53 respondents (53.5%), high school graduates were 57 respondents (57.6%), worked as private employees as many as 33 respondents (33.3%), and patients were treated for 3 days (52.5%). Most respondents rated the quality of nursing services as good as 64 respondents (64.6%) and the majority expressed satisfaction in the satisfied category as many as 67 respondents (67.7%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained the value ρ value = 0.001 (ρ < 0.05) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the quality of nursing services and patient satisfaction in the inpatient room of UNS Hospital.
