Abstract

This research is motivated by how important the role of moral education is very important for the formation and development of the personality of street children in order to be able to find concepts about clear life goals and behavior in accordance with applicable norms. It is necessary for the role of institutions as educators to apply good morals to street children, so that they are able to understand and can be implemented in the lives of street children. In this study, the subject of discussion is related to how to implement moral education for street children in the Periphery Women and Children Empowerment Institute (LPPAP Seroja) along with its supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a field research using a qualitative phenomenology approach. Data sources come fromtentors/lecturers at LPPAP Seroja, as well as additional data from journals and documents. Data collection is carried out using interviews, observations, and tasi documents which are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The process of checking data through triangulation techniques, techniques, and sources. The results showed that the implementation of moral education of religious values for children at LPPAP Seroja uses several stages including, (1) The purpose of LPPAP Seroja in the education of oral religious education, (2) Religious moral education material at LPPAP Seroja, (3) Method of religious moral education at LPPAP Seroja, ( 4) Evaluation of moral education. The supporting and inhibiting factors include, (1) Students at LPPAP Seroja have a lazy attitude or lack of discipline in learning to follow the cultivation of moral education values, (2) Lack of infrastructure. The supporting factor in the implementation of moral education for street children at LPPAP Seroja is the spirit of tentors or teachers to teach religious values with enthusiasm and high motivation.
