Abstract

Physical education at SMP Negeri 2 Jambu states that class 7 at SMP Negeri 2 Jambu takes sports lessons, especially those related to volleyball. When studying the bottom serve technique, the teacher has observed that the majority of students are still below the minimum expected ability limit (KKM). Their lower serve technique still does not reach the expected level, with some students serving incorrectly and not mastering the technique correctly. One factor is that when students move from elementary school to junior high school, most of them have experience playing volleyball only with plastic balls in elementary school. However, in middle school, they started playing with real volleyball. such as discomfort in their hands when playing standard volleyball. Based on the problems posed in this research, the type of research used by researchers is Classroom Action Research (PTK), which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle contains four main activities, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. Classroom action research (PTK) procedures research data analysis is carried out in two categories, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. The use of the Kasvol game media at SMP Negeri 2 Jambu succeeded in increasing student learning outcomes in basic volleyball underserve technical skills. Data obtained in the pre-cycle only 13.6% of students achieved learning completion in the pre-cycle. However, in cycle I, there was a significant increase with 59% of students achieving learning completion. In cycle II, there was a greater increase, namely that all 100% of students succeeded in achieving classical learning completeness. It can be concluded that the use of the Kasvol game media is effective and can improve learning outcomes for volleyball underserve skills in class VII A students at SMP Negeri 2 Jambu in the 2023/2024 academic year.
