Abstract

The main system in supporting the performance of the excavator is the engine which is the part that drives the power train to be forwarded to the final drive. One system that supports the performance of the excavator is the fuel system in the engine, the fuel system functions to distribute fuel into the combustion chamber while the engine is working. If the engine is damaged, the unit will not be able to work properly because the engine is the prime mover of the excavator, there are cases of damage to the engine which is difficult to start and during the starting process, an injector cleaner is required which is sprayed on the air cleaner to help the process run. The inspection procedure for the Lonking CDM 6060N excavator engine is to perform a performance test and check visually, then carry out a disassembly process to check the components to determine damage to the injectors. The results of the analysis show that the injectors are in bad condition, that is, they do not atomize fuel while running, so it is necessary to replace damaged components. Measures to prevent greater damage by means of periodic maintenance.
