Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of talent management on sustainable competitive advantage through career development, organizational commitment as an intervening variable for educational institutions (Semarang Police Academy study). The sample in this study amounted to 141 respondents consisting of students and staff from the Semarang Police Academy using a questionnaire for data collection. Sampling technique with non-probability sampling method. Data analysis technique using PLS SEM analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Talent management has a positive and significant effect on career development, so the first hypothesis is proven (0.959), 2) Talent management has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, so the second hypothesis is proven (0.944), 3) Career Development positive and significant effect on competitive advantage, so the third hypothesis is proven (0.462), 4) Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage, so the fourth hypothesis is proven (0.274), 5) Talent management has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage, so the hypothesis the fifth is proven (0.242), 6) Talent management has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage which is influenced by the intervening variable career development (0.039), 7) Talent management has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage which is influenced by the intervening variable organizational commitment (0.0026).
