Chicken farming is currently the largest and most popular business field among Indonesian people. Chicken farm development requires large areas with significant chicken populations. Provision of a place for chicken feed is also crucial in this process. However, in managing broiler chickens there are several problems faced, including the risk of crop failure due to weather instability and management of feed and drink that is not optimal. This kind of obstacle is very burdensome for farmers, especially when they have to leave the farm for a long period of time and cannot directly monitor the condition of the cage. To overcome this problem, research efforts were carried out to create an automatic control device and monitor the temperature of the chicken coop by utilizing the Internet of Things Technology (IoT). The tool utilizes NodeMCU ESP32 which is integrated with a temperature sensor and gas sensor, aiming to efficiently detect temperature conditions and levels of ammonia gas in the cage. Test results, if the temperature exceeds 26 ℃ then the light will turn off and if the temperature is less than 25 ℃ then the light will turn on, on the gas and temperature sensor if the gas level exceeds 10 PPM and the temperature exceeds 29 ℃ then the fan will turn on. Then for the results of the water level if the water level exceeds 1.80 cm then the water pump will not turn on then if the water level is less than 1.80 cm then the water pump will fill the container for drinking chickens. Feeding here uses a servo motor connected to the ESP32 to control the feed using an application. The conclusion from the results of testing the tool is that this tool is very useful for broiler breeders and can also help breeders to create an automated system in broiler farming, especially for research partners who still use manual methods to raise broiler chickens. This research can prove that using tools can show a fairly high level of effectiveness in controlling and feeding automatically, compared to conventional systems without using tools. So the authors recommend for broiler breeders to use this tool to get satisfactory livestock results.
