Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of using audio-visual media in schools in the teaching and learning process to be able to assist teachers in delivering subject matter and also students in understanding the material delivered by teachers. It is necessary for the role of teachers as educators to apply audio-visual media to students, so that they are able to understand and can be implemented in student lives. In this study, the subject of discussion is related to how the application of audio-visual media in fiqh subjects and supporting and inhibiting factors in its application in Madrasah Aliyah Al Barokah Purwantoro Wonogiri. This research is a field research using a qualitative phenomenology approach. Data sources come from teachers of fiqh subjects, as well as additional data from journals and documents. Data collection is carried out using interviews, observations, and document studies that are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The process of checking data through triangulation techniques, techniques, and sources. The results showed that the use of audio-visual media and variations in teaching methods and learning media in the learning process in fiqh subjects at MA Al Barokah Purwantoro were maximized which had been applied well to support the process of student understanding in the learning process taking place in the classroom. In the application of audio-visual media, there are two factors that affect the success of the value planting process, namely supporting and inhibiting factors. Inhibiting factors include, lack of infrastructure such as computer laboratories are inadequate in the learning process. The supporting factor for the application of audio-visual media in Madrasah Aliyah Al Barokah Purwantoro cannot be separated from the efforts of all teachers in schools who are willing to work together to support the application of learning using audio-visual media.
