Abstract

Electricity is a resource that is urgently needed at this time, especially for the planters who are far from the city and do not yet have a power source. The problem experienced by smallholders in general is that there is no source of electricity to meet their daily needs because partners are often on the plantation for the night so they really need lighting at night. This study aims to create an electric power system by utilizing solar energy (sun). In designing this off grid PLTS, there are solar panels that absorb solar energy into electricity as the main energy source and SCC as current and voltage controllers supplied by the solar panels to the battery and load. Inverter as a converter of DC current into AC current. The loads used are AC 15 W and DC 9 W lamps on for 9 hours and a fan with a capacity of 20 W on for 3 hours. The test results from the off grid PLTS design get a total load power of 460 Watt so that the Inverter used is 500 Watt. For the results of all the power generated starting from the Solar Panel, the battery to the load varies from the first day to the third day.
