Abstract

This study uses a film entitled A Star Is Born Movie which was released in 2018 as the object of analysis. This film focuses on the career journey of a musician who is experienced in the world of music. As a musician who performs on stage, there must be a feeling of anxiety before performing. This anxiety that occurs is often referred to as stage fright. The purpose of this study is to reveal the stage fright behavior depicted in the film and how to overcome it. This study uses the psychoanalytic perspective of Sigmund Freud. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This study uses data types in the form of text and images taken from scripts and screen captures. The results of this study are that there are factors underlying the behavior of stage fright in films, namely individual factors and situational factors. Stage fright in film is illustrated through the characters, setting and plot of the film. The depiction of stage fright can be through ally and Jackson as the main character in the film. the character in the film does healing which is the background to the occurrence of stage fright
