Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress and work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction. The population and sample in this study were employees at the Secretariat Office of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Karanganyar Regency and the number of respondents as the sample in this study was 78 employees. Source of data used in this research is primary data. Data collection method using a questionnaire. The data analysis used is Smart PLS. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that (1) work stress has a positive and insignificant effect on job satisfaction (2) work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (3) work stress has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance (4) work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (5) satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (6) work stress has a direct effect on performance without going through job satisfaction to employees (7) The work environment has an indirect effect on performance through job satisfaction of employees.
