Abstract
Telaga Kusuma is a new tourist spot in Karanganyar which has the headline as agro-tourism. "Telaga Kusuma" itself is a tourist spot that was named directly by the Head of the Tunggulrejo Village. According to the Head of the Tunggulrejo Village, the naming of "Telaga Kusuma" does not refer to a lake area, but this naming is based on the personal wish of the Head of the Tunggulrejo Village who wants to use the name Telaga Kusuma as a tourist entity. Due to new tourism, "Telaga Kusuma" has not met the standards of tourist comfort, such as the lack of facilities to support tourists and the mismatch of the headline "agro-tourism". Not many aspects of agro-tourism have emerged in the Telaga Kusuma tourist area due to the gradual development phase. In a gradual development, while this is being carried out in improving the waterpark tourist attraction and improving the facilities needed in tourist attractions to satisfy visiting tourists. The stages of developing a sustainable tourist area are the vision of the Village Head so that a Tourism Village is achieved which has distinctive, recreational and educative characteristics. Therefore, the authors propose the concept of planning and designing an agro-tourism area development in Telaga Kusuma Karanganyar as a developing tourism object. This concept will help develop the region's potential, assist the government in tourism development and encourage the public and tourists to visit and preserve local tourist areas. The methods used in this report are literature studies, observation, interviews, and comparative studies. The results obtained are the design of the development of an agro-tourism area in Telaga Kusuma Karanganyar as a developing tourism object with a Sustainable Tourism approach that is applied to the landscape concept, the concept of mass planning, the concept of spatial size, and the concept of the Sustainable Tourism approach. The end result of this design is a developing tourism area that meets the standards both in terms of facilities, both in agro-tourism and both in the aspects of the Sustainable Tourism approach.
