Abstract
Wirun Village is located in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo. It is only one kilometer east of Solo City. Around this village is no different from other villages. However, there is one thing that makes this design so special. This village has been known as a center for crafting gamelan musical instruments. Given its easy access, especially from the city of Solo, many tourists, both local and foreign, come to this village. Not only giving a popular image to the public, the Wirun village gamelan craft industry also contributes to the community's economy and efforts to preserve the original culture of the Indonesian nation. The background of this development focuses on designing a gamelan village tourism village to become an educational and recreation-based tourism area by utilizing the potential of the Wirun village community and the surrounding environment and designing and re-designing buildings or supporting facilities for the gamelan village tourism village so that it is suitable to be used as a tourism village and become an attraction for both local and foreign tourists who maintain environmental balance and still display local wisdom The purpose of developing a tourism village of Gamelan Wirun Village in Sukoharjo Regency is to create a planning and design concept for structuring the Gamelan Village Tourism Village area into a tourist area based on education and recreation by exploiting the potential that exists in Wirun Village. In order to get a building design or supporting facilities for the gamelan village tourism village so that it is suitable to be used as a creative tourism village and become an attraction for both local and foreign tourists. So it is necessary to arrange the area to strengthen the characteristics of the area, namely by utilizing the environment and the surrounding community by accommodating all tourism activities. As well as the provision of adequate facilities for the tourists who come. Through an eco-cultural approach, the design creates an "eco" design, namely a design that maintains environmental balance, while "cultural" is a design that interprets the existence of the surrounding culture. The discussion method used is qualitative-descriptive using primary data from field observations and secondary data from literature reviews. From the analysis and concept results, the results are in the form of a design proposal in the Wirun tourism village development area in the form of supporting facilities so that it can support tourism activities.
