Abstract

Salatiga Contemporary Art Gallery is a forum for local artists in the city of Salatiga as a place to showcase their work and also as a means of educating the general public about contemporary art in the city of Salatiga. Contemporary Art itself entered the city of Salatiga in 2012 – 2014 which was introduced through Gallery Kandang Art. However, it's a shame that the Kandang Art Gallery only lasted for a while due to the lack of public interest in contemporary art. Then in 2016 the gallery was reactivated and changed its name to Since Art Space. Even so, there is still a lack of space for contemporary artists in the city of Salatiga to hold long-term art exhibitions as a means of introducing contemporary art to the public. Presence Salatiga Contemporary Art Gallery can be used as a forum for local artists in the city of Salatiga as a place to introduce contemporary art as a means of education to the public where this art gallery also applies the approach Biophilic which is able to create comfort for the users both physically and metal by incorporating natural elements into the room
