Abstract
Toll roads are alternative routes that can speed up transport infrastructure, expand the tourism sector, boost growth, and accelerate economic processes that are often hampered by congestion and the deterioration of road infrastructure. The toll road itself is a barrier-free road that connects the cities. There is a project to build a toll road which is going on, namely the Cilacap-Yogyakarta Tol Road. This toll road will be built over a length of 121.75 km. With long distances, you need a rest area. Rest area by language means place of rest. Whereas according to the Geometric Standards of Obstacle-Free Roads for Customs No. 007/BM/2009, rest areas are places and facilities where drivers, passengers, and vehicles can rest for a moment due to exhaustion especially on toll roads or barrier-free roads. The location of the rest of this area is in Kebumen district. Kebumen is one of the districts that will be passed by the construction of a toll Cilacap-Yogyakarta. To respond to exhaustion while driving, toll users need rest facilities while reducing saturation. One approach that has the benefits of reducing saturation is with the biophilic concept. The biophilic concepts used in the design of this rest area include Visual Connection with Nature, Material Connection With Nature, and Presence of Water.
