Abstract
Surkarta City is the second largest city in Central Java Province after Semarang City. Surkarta City itself has been confirmed as a Child Friendly City (KLA) since 2006. The existence of Surakarta City as a child friendly city certainly encourages the existence of several facilities that support this policy such as the existence of an inclusive school. The Inclusive School is an educational facility that provides opportunities for children with special needs (ABK and persons with disabilities) to get the same and equal education as other common children. The existence of inclusive schools combined with the junior high school standard Islamic international school system is still quite rare in the city of Surakarta, therefore it is of considerable interest to parents of students. The discussion process to support the Design of the International Islamic Inculsive Junior High School uses the method of observation and literature study. From the results of the discussion, the city of Surkarta is very suitable when viewed from the area and function, especially the design of the International Islamic Inculsive Junior High School will be located on Jalan Samratulangi which is in the education zone and an area suitable for use as a school building after going through the site analysis process. In addition, the design process will use an Islamic and Tropical Architecture approach where this really supports the teaching and learning process as well as the therapy process for children with special needs in inclusive schools.
