Abstract
Wind is one of renewable natural resources that we can get right now. Wind can be used in many ways, one of which is power plant. The way wind power plants work in converting wind energy into electrical energy is by using a wind turbine as a generator drive. The purpose of designing a wind power plant in this final project is to develop the empowerment of renewable energy sources in the form of wind energy. Wind energy will be utilized as a turbine drive connected to a generator so it can produce electrical energy. In this final project, the turbine used is a turbine ventilator that functions as an exhaust fan in buildings. This research examines the amount of electrical energy that can be generated by generators at different wind speed conditions. The methods in carrying out this research included potential measurement literature studies, design and manufacture of tools, as well as testing of tools carried out at the 7th Floor of the Faculty of Medicine Building, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, Kec. Kartasura, Kab. Sukoharjo, Central Java. The results obtained from the 14 days of testing are that the device can generate electrical energy of 23.29 Wh. The highest energy production in one day is 3.48 Wh and the lowest is 0.81 Wh.
