Mushroom cultivation requires persistence. The process of making, maintaining, and harvesting mushrooms must comply with the rules or guidelines commonly used in mushroom cultivation for optimal results. Sub-optimal results are generally caused by farmers who do not follow the rules commonly used in mushroom cultivation. In fact, in carrying out mushroom cultivation, there are several factors that can affect cultivation results. From these problems, this final project creates a monitoring tool for temperature and humidity in mushroom houses with an ESP8266 microcontroller that can be connected to a smartphone which aims to help mushroom cultivators reduce the risk of crop failure. This tool uses a DHT11 sensor which functions to measure temperature and humidity with an analog output that can be processed by the ESP8266 Microcontroller. The processed data will be sent to a BLYNK application installed on the smartphone. The expected result of this research is to introduce IoT (Internet of Things) to the wider community, especially mushroom farmers in Karangdowo District, Klaten Regency. Apart from that, it also helps mushroom farmers to increase maximum yields assisted by an IoT-based temperature and humidity monitoring tool because mushrooms grow well at temperatures of 24-27 degrees and relative humidity of 80-90%.
