Abstract
This research aims to reveal the values of tauhid education in children in the Qur'an sura at-Tahrim verse 6 and al-Baqarah verse 255 according to the interpretations of The Holy Qur'an and the interpretation of al-Azhar and how the similarities and differences between the two are. Using qualitative research methods, library research with theological and philosophical approaches. Data collection uses primary data in the form of tafsir The Holy Qur'an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and tafsir al-Azhar by Hamka. As well as secondary data in the form of monotheistic books and children's education, journals and books that are relevant to this study. This research uses a comparative method to compare the thoughts of the two figures and an interpretation method to interpret verses or hadiths related to children's education and the value of monotheism. The findings and results of this research are that monotheism education in children is the task of parents in particular and muslim educators in general. The values that must be instilled in children are that all children carry their nature which is the rububiyah of Allah, so parents are responsible for activating this potential or nature. A muwahid tries to achieve ma'rifatullah in asma' wa sifat. And the peak is believing in tauhid uluhiyah as the core of monotheism, namely worship only to Allah with the shari'ah that Allah has ordained. The values of tauhid education in children according to the interpretation of The Holy Qur'an and the interpretation of al-Azhar are to take care of themselves and their families by instilling the true values of monotheism. The arguments for the certainty of rububiyah, asma' wa sifat and uluhiyah are very much taught by Allah in the Qur'an, one of which is in surah al-Baqarah verse 255 which is called the ayah kursi. It is the greatest verse containing three kinds of tauhid that every muwahid must believe in.
