Abstract
This study aims to describe (1) the structure of Didik L Hariri's Novel JSP, (2) the social values contained in Didik L Hariri's Novel JSP, and (3) the Relevance of Social Structure and Values in the JSP Novel with Learning Outcomes . This type of research is a qualitative description. The object of this research is the novel's building structure, social values and relevance to learning outcomes. The data of this research are words, sentences and paragraphs as well as sentences or paragraphs that contain Learning Outcomes. The source of the data in this research is the JSP novel by Didik L Hariri which was published in 2018 by Republika Publisher, Jakarta, totaling 186 pages and the Decree of the Head of the Standards, Curriculum and Education Assessment Agency of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 008/H/ KR/2022. The data collection technique in this study is the note-taking technique. The validity of the data uses triangulation of data sources. Data analysis uses heuristic and hermeneutic methods. The results of the study show (1) The structure of the novel's theme: the spirit of preaching. The fact of the story which consists of the character Ahmad Dahlan as the main character, is well behaved. Haji Abu Bakar, Sayyid Bakri Syitha, Siti Walidah, Haji Muhammad Saleh and Joyosumarto are figures who have good character and act as additional characters. Meanwhile, the figure of Kyai Penghulu is the opposite character to the main character and acts as an additional character. The plot in this novel is forward plot. The setting of this novel is in Kauman, Jogjakarta, Mecca City and the slopes of Mount Tretes. The time setting occurs at the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century at the time of the beginning of Dutch colonialism. The figure's social background is in Kauman, the Mataram kingdom lives in a strong religious environment. (2) The social values contained in this novel are help, kinship, devotion, loyalty, caring, a sense of belonging, discipline, empathy, justice, tolerance, cooperation and democracy. (3) Results of analysis regarding social structure and values, according to Learning Outcomes. Identifying and appreciating new vocabulary in the form of borrowed words (local and foreign languages) used in novels in print and electronic media. .
