Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior is a form of activity to maintain the health of individuals and groups to avoid disease. Clean and healthy living behaviors are grouped into five, namely PHBS in Schools, PHBS at Home, PHBS in Health Institutions, PHBS in the Workplace, and PHBS in Public Places. PHBS in schools is part of an effort to improve the health of students and the community in the school environment to create healthy schools. The purpose of this study was to find out the explanation for the implementation of clean and healthy living behavior in school children at SD Muhammadiyah Banyudono Special Program. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive design and a cross-sectional study. The population of this study were grades 4, 5 and 6 of SD Muhammadiyah Banyudono Special Program with a total of 210 students. In this study, the sample used was cluster randomization with a total of 68 respondents in grades IV, V, and VI, and proportional random sampling. The PHBS questionnaire was used as a research instrument. The validity test in this study used 30 respondents, with the results of 23 statements declared valid because the r count obtained > r table (0.786) with a significance level of 1%. Then the results of the reliability test obtained results of 0.948, the questionnaire used was declared reliable. The results of this study were of 68 (100%) respondents, 57 students (84%) had good quality and 11 students (11%) had bad quality. The conclusion of this study is PHBS at SD Muhammadiyah Banyudono Special Program for school children is in the good category with a frequency of 57 students (84%), and the characteristics of children based on gender are mostly boys aged 10 years.
