Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) the implementation of the link and match program with business and industry in the accounting skills program at SMK Negeri 1 Pedan; 2) supporting and inhibiting factors for the occurrence of link and match; 3) solutions made to overcome the problems that occur. This study uses a qualitative method with an etographic approach. The data used by researchers came from teachers and students of SMK Negeri 1 Pedan. Data collection techniques were obtained using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The data validity technique used is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the link and match program starts at the preparation/planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Factors supporting the occurrence of link and match are good cooperation with DU/DI, applicable regulations, educational curriculum that is more practice oriented, school readiness, high student enthusiasm, support from parents of students, availability of practice locations. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor for link and match is that it is difficult for schools to match the needs of DU/DI with KI/KD, difficulties in applying according to Permen No. 61 of 2014, Child factor, Not allowed to collect fees, not optimal in empowering production units, Students have a mental deficiency. The solution used to overcome these problems is that the school tries to adapt to the needs of DU/DI, maximizes the existing curriculum, schools provide debriefing, forms a community of parents/guardians of students, works together with DU/DI.
