Abstract
UKG is an effort of the government's commitment to maintaining the quality of education in Indonesia, the 2019 UKG results of 2.65 million teachers met the qualification requirements of a total of 3.3 million teachers in Indonesia, not meeting expectations. The aims of the research were 1) to find out the relationship between democratic leadership and work motivation and teacher performance, 2) to know the relationship between democratic leadership and teacher performance, 3) to find out the relationship between work motivation and teacher performance. The population in this study amounted to 50 people as well as the sample in the study. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sample which is included in non-probability sampling, which means that the results of the study cannot be generalized elsewhere besides the place under study, namely SDIT Insan Kamil Karanganyar. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Research results 1) there is a very significant relationship between democratic leadership and work motivation on teacher performance (F = 8.707) and p = 0.001 (p <0.05). 2) there is a very significant positive relationship between democratic leadership and teacher performance with a correlation value (r) = 0.5520 and a (p) value of 0.000 (p <0.05). 3) there is a significant positive relationship between work motivation and teacher performance (r) = 0.306 and (p) of 0.001 (p <0.05). The results of the categorization show that the teacher's performance at SDIT Insan Kamil Karanganyar is at a very high level, in contrast to the democratic leadership and work motivation which are included at a high level. The effective contribution of the two variables is seen from the coefficient of determination R2 = 0.270 which indicates that the variables of democratic leadership and work motivation affect teacher performance variables by 27.0% and the remaining 73% are influenced by other variables.
