Abstract
Background: Maintaining health is an effort to be aware of disturbances in the body, including disease. Some studies say one of them is skin diseases such as dermatitis, ringworm, scabies and tinea versicolor. Purpose : This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between personal hygiene, working hours and use of personal protective equipment with subjective complaints of skin disease in farmers in Ngaringan Village. Method : The method used in this study is observational with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were farmers in Ngaringan Village, Grobogan Regency and the samples were taken using total sampling technique. Data analysis using the Chi square test. Research results : The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis has no relationship between personal hygiene and subjective complaints of skin disease with a p-value (0.129) more than a (0.05). Chi square test results of working hours with complaints of skin disease show that the hypothesis has no relationship between working hours and subjective complaints of skin disease with a p-value (0.220) of more than a (0.05). The results of the Chi square test on complaints of skin disease indicate that the hypothesis has no relationship between the use of personal protective equipment and subjective complaints of skin disease with a value of (0.027) indicating a p value < (0.05). Suggestion: The suggestion for this research is for farmers in Ngaringan Village, namely to be able to pay attention to personal hygiene and the work environment. Farmers are expected to use their working time well and always use personal protective equipment when working.
