Abstract

The development of information systems in the current era is very important because agencies and companies cannot be separated from the use of computers as tools for processing data. One of them is an information system for the library. Library information systems have been widely used in both private and public schools. In the SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kendal library, they still use conventional methods to process library data. The conventional method can cause several problems. One of them is the ineffective time. Manual or handwritten recording can cause data errors which can lead to complications in making reports. Student data changes occur every year because the academic process makes the work less efficient if it has to be done manually. The solution to the problems experienced by the SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kendal library is to implement a web-based library information system. The research method used in this study is a quantitative experimental method. The data collection process was carried out using a questionnaire. The results showed that the average score for the user perception questionnaire was 84.71. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the library information system is effective to use.
