Abstract
The behavior of teenagers today shows moral degradation. They tend to behave in a negative way, which is of course one of the consequences of the development of globalization. Teenagers who have lost their integrity can act against social, cultural and even religion norms. This situation is very concerning because the younger generation is the pillar of the country. Therefore, character learning must start early. The moral values taken are actually from references that have been proven to make it better, one of which is by following the scholars, namely by taking moral values from the book entitled Tadzkirotus Saami' wal Mutakallim by Ibn Jama'ah. The government, educational institutions and all levels of society are very concerned about the moral degradation of Indonesia's young generation and this encourages all stakeholders (especially educators) to look for answers on how to overcome it. How can these young people become better and become the next generation of the country. With the efforts of educational institutions intended to educate the next generation, efforts to achieve the moral development of Indonesian youth are highly urgent. Islam teaches that education that is oriented towards the improvement of knowledge and changes in character is not enough. Investment in education is needed in an effort to produce qualified human resources. Education can improve living standards and allow a person to be able to improve their abilities in a strategic way. Therefore, to plan and develop children's character, quality education is needed. Of course, the education that is needed is education that has a curriculum that is proven successful. The book of Tadzkiratus Sami Wal Mutakallim is different from other books of adab to knowledge. The work of al-Imam al-Qadhi Badruddin Ibn Jamaah is more comprehensive and has a scope that contains five topics of discussion about manners that have not been found in other books of manners. Chapter one, the virtues of knowledge and its experts. Chapter two, the manners of a teacher towards himself, his students, and the manners of teaching. Chapter three, the manners of the student towards himself, his teacher, his friends, and his studies. Chapter four, the manners of interacting with books. And chapter five, the manners of staying in the madrasa. The purpose of this study is to explain character education in the book of Tadzkirotus Saami' wal Mutakallim by Ibn Jama'ah and its relevance in the 2013 curriculum, by taking it as a research subject and using qualitative methods. In collecting information and writing, the author examines various sources used as references, namely Islamic character education and curriculum. The results of this study indicate that character education in the book of Tadzkirotus Saami' wal Mutakallim by Ibn Jama'ah is in accordance with the 2013 curriculum which is based on student skills by providing great support for character development.
