Abstract
Road pavements are generally constructed using materials of a certain quality from the quarry. The continuous use of new materials will deplete material resources. The recycling method can be used to overcome these problems. This study mostly uses old materials mixed with new materials as a mixture of HRS-WC pavement which is considered to be able to increase the carrying capacity of the material left over from road demolition. Research based on secondary data consists of the results of the inspection of new aggregates and aggregate left over from road demolition as well as the results of the inspection of recycled asphalt that has been rejuvenated. While the primary data consists of the results of aggregate gradation testing. Compaction using roller slab with 64 passes in heavy traffic classification. For specimens with roller slab compaction, it is necessary to leave it for 24 hours, after which it is core drilled. Variations in asphalt content used were 4%, 6%, and 8% with 3 specimens for each variation in asphalt content. The Optimum Asphalt Content value was obtained at 6.75%. After obtaining the Optimum Asphalt Content value, then the test object is made to obtain the stability, unevenness, or IRI (International Roughness Index) values, and the relative coefficient of the material. Based on the research results, the use of recycled materials with roller slab compaction produces high stability of 1526.57 kg, 1785.79 kg, and 2109.07 kg, making it suitable for roads with heavy traffic loads. The IRI values are 1.869 m/km, 2.242 m/km, and 1.495 m/km, so the use of recycled materials with roller slab compaction produces pavement with good flatness (the surface is relatively smooth), while the material relative coefficient value is 0.24 which can be said to be sufficient as a wear layer. Based on the results above, it can be stated that the pavement with recycled materials in terms of Stability, IRI (International Roughness Index), and the relative coefficient of materials meets the specifications.
