Abstract
In the learning process students have difficulty imagining objects abstractly, so media is needed that can facilitate students in learning the Solar System. The aims of this study were (1) to explore science learning media on the subject of the Solar System which has been used so far at SD Negeri Karangasem 1 Surakarta. (2) Create an Android-based augmented reality application development design as a learning medium for elementary school children. (3) Testing the feasibility of Android-based augmented reality learning media as learning media for the introduction of the Solar System for elementary school children. Therefore the designed Android-based augmented reality application will display Tata Turya objects in 3 dimensions and rotate, as well as explanations added with audio. This study uses research and development methods or Research and Development (R&D), using the Luther development model. The conclusion of this study is that the learning media developed are included in the very feasible category.
