Abstract

Language has a very important role for humans to convey the contents of one's heart and mind to the other person. Arabic has a beauty value that is not owned by other languages. Because Arabic is the language used in the Qur'an. Learning Arabic takes a long time and is not an easy thing. Therefore, in learning Arabic, appropriate strategies are needed so that Arabic lessons can be conveyed properly and correctly so that students get maximum understanding. The purpose of this research is to find out how the deliberation strategy is implemented in learning Arabic at MTs Negeri 2 Karanganyar and to identify the inhibiting and motivating factors in its implementation. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study are in implementing the teacher's deliberation strategy starting from planning, implementing, then evaluating. Inhibiting factors: a) the number of students who cannot read and write the Qur'an so that they experience difficulties in speaking and writing Arabic. b) the lack of student interest in Arabic because it is considered difficult. c) the learning conditions were still limping because 2 years earlier learning was done online which was felt to be less effective. Driving factors: a) competent teachers, because teachers prepare themselves very well before teaching in class. b) the teacher as a motivator, in which the teacher approaches students to provide encouragement, motivation, and support.
