Abstract
M RAIM MASTIRA, A610150015. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GIS-BASED VOLCANO 3D VIDEO MEDIA IN VOLCANISM MATERIALS AS A BASIS FOR DISASTER KNOWLEDGE AT SMA NEGERI 1 JATINOM, KLATEN REGENCY. Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. May, 2022. One of the volcanoes that often erupts is Mount Merapi, since approximately 1900 until now it has always been active with 24 eruptions of silent or short rest periods (an average of no more than 3.5 years). The eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010 was the largest eruption in 100 years. The aim of this research is; (1) Knowing the students' GIS-based 3D learning media in the subject of volcanism. (2) Knowing the effectiveness of using 3D learning media in the learning process on volcanism subjects. The development model in this study uses quantitative methods, namely the experimental method used to determine the effectiveness of GIS-based 3D teaching media using a control class and an experimental class in improving student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that; (1) Using 3D video media can increase students' knowledge, it is based on the average pretest score of 56 while the posttest average value of 86 with 36 students. (2) Classroom research is in the "Good" category after the application of video learning media on volcanism. This is based on the paired samples t-test, which means <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of 3D video media is effective in increasing students' knowledge.
