Abstract

Tawangmangu is a tour that is famous for its natural tourism objects, one of which is the Indonesian Essential House tourist attraction. This tour is a tour that offers refreshing and educational activities with complete facilities and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) in it. Due to a change in ownership and the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rumah Essential tourism object has decreased, therefore it is necessary to develop the Rumah Essential Indonesia tourism object. The aims of this research are (1) Knowing the potential of the Indonesian Essential House tourism object as an educational tour (2) Knowing the direction of developing the potential of the Indonesian Essential House tourism object through influential factors. The sampling method used purposive sampling technique with direct surveys, data processing with editing, coding, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis, ecological analysis, and spatial analysis. The results of this study are in the form of tourist characteristics which include education level, occupation, age, and tourist origin. (1) Rumah Essential Indonesia has internal and external potential which can be seen from the score that has been obtained, namely for internal potential a score of 13 is obtained which is at the moderate class level, while for external potential with a total score of 22 it is at a very good class level. (2) Based on the SWOT analysis, a development strategy is obtained by using strength, namely by maintaining the beauty of the natural panorama and its uniqueness, and taking advantage of opportunities by promoting on social media to increase tourist interest.
