Abstract
The prevalence of nutritional status in adolescents in Sukoharjo Regency in 2018 was for men with poor nutritional status (17.63%) and women with obese nutritional status (29.37%). One of the factors causing nutritional status is the level of nutritional knowledge and breakfast behavior. The level of nutritional knowledge will influence healthy living behaviors such as regular breakfast behavior which will establish normal nutritional status. To determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge and breakfast behavior on the nutritional status of students. This study uses a type of analytic observational research with a cross-sectional approach with simple random sampling. The total sample is 91 FIK students class of 2019. Data on nutritional knowledge was taken using a multiple choice questionnaire consisting of 25 questions, breakfast behavior data was taken using the food record form for 4 consecutive days, and nutritional status data was taken by measuring height and weight. Data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment and Rank Spearman tests. The results showed that most of the students' nutritional knowledge was in the good category (85.7%) and breakfast behavior was in the rare category (82.4%). Students who have good nutritional knowledge with thin nutritional status (12.8%) and fat nutritional status (10.3%). Students who rarely have breakfast behavior have obesity nutritional status (10.7%). Pearson product moment correlation test results showed that there was no relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (p=0.720). The results of the Spearman rank correlation test showed that there was no relationship between breakfast behavior and nutritional status (p=0.833). There is no relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and breakfast behavior on nutritional status in students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
