Abstract

The aims of this study: (1) to describe the structure of the story in Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia, (2) to describe the contents of the da'wah messages in Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia, (3) to describe the relevance of the da'wah messages in Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia with learning in senior high school. This research is a type of qualitative research. The object of this research is the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia. The subject of this research is the Da'wah Message in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia. The data in this study are in the form of utterances, expressions, words or paragraphs that contain da'wah messages contained in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia. The data source for this research is the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia. This study applies data analysis techniques, namely semiotic reading methods including heuristic reading and hermeneutic reading. The results of the study (1) There is a novel structure in the form of a theme, namely the resilience and patience of Muslim women who are good at being grateful. This novel has a forward plot. The setting of the novel includes Deshengmen terminal in downtown Beijing, Hong Kong airport, youth hostel, bus stop sidewalk, Beijing City, living room of Anita's house, Xi'an Mosque of Shaanxi province, Great Wall (China's great wall), stormy parking area. , Olympic stadium, Niujie Mosque in Xuanwu District. The time setting includes the month of November, one o'clock in the evening. The social setting in the Assalamualaikum Beijing novel by Asma Nadia is patience, struggle, friendship and social etiquette between Muslim women. The main characters in Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia are Asma and Zhongwen. (2) The message of da'wah contained in the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing by Asma Nadia is in the form of a da'wah message including faith in Allah, faith in prophets and apostles. Messages of moral da'wah include patient, grateful, steadfast, optimistic, treacherous, pessimistic, simple, careless, enthusiastic, responsible behavior. Shari'a da'wah messages include fighting lust, prohibition of dating, prohibition of intercourse with the opposite sex who is not a mahram, prohibition of adultery, orders to cover genitals, taaruf. The most dominant da'wah message is the moral da'wah message. (3) The results of the research on the novel Assalamualaikum Beijing message are relevant to basic competence 3.11 analyzing messages from a read fiction book. The Assalamualaikum Beijing novel by Asma Nadia fulfills the competency criteria, namely, language aspects, psychological aspects, and environmental aspects.
