Abstract

Grobogan Regency's economic growth has been increasing since 2018, which has been accompanied by an increase in population. This triggers the government to develop sectors in it’s government, which are more focused on improving the economic and tourism. This improvement is accompanied by the development of business and commercial areas, industries and areas with high potential as tourist areas. This development area will also be equipped with various facilities, one of them is commercial and business facilities. In addition, the trade sector in Grobogan Regency is ranked second as the largest contributor for the economy, including employment in Grobogan Regency. This also has an impact on the development of construction, especially trade facilities, such as shopping centers and supermarkets, which can increase employment opportunities and provide daily needs for the people. Based on the theory of urban attraction and village thrust, there is a phenomenon that the people of Grobogan Regency tend to go to big cities that have more complete shopping centers, including entertainment facilities. This is because Grobogan Regency only has supermarkets (swalayan), with facilities under the shopping center or mall. Therefore, it is necessary to design a shopping center that provides complete needs and entertainment facilities for the people of Grobogan Regency, so that people do not need to go to big cities to go to shopping centers or malls. The design of this shopping center will carry the concept of Green Architecture which is adaptive after the pandemic, which aims to make buildings more energy efficient, sustainable, and buildings can better guarantee the health of users in the current era, after the Covid-19 pandemic. Buildings will be designed to be more open to maximize natural ventilation and lighting, which supports the concept of improving the health of users in the building.
