Abstract

The manufacture of red bricks in Sukoharjo carries out the manufacturing process manually, causing workers to experience fatigue, both physically and mentally which can reduce work performance and reduce physical endurance so that it can affect the level of work and the results of the bricks obtained. This study aims to determine the level of fatigue and workload experienced by brick workers and provide suggestions for adequate rest time for workers. The methods used are NASA-TLX, SOFI, and %CVL. There were 13 workers who became respondents in this study. The results of the NASA-TLX method, the process that has the highest result is the stirring process with a value of 63.27 with a high mental load category. The results of the SOFI method, the process that has the highest yield is the stirring process, namely 1.76 with moderate fatigue category. The results of the %CVL method are used to make suggestions for improving the rest time in the stirring process and the results are from 9.18 to 38.46 minutes. The suggestions for improvement are listening to music while working and resting around 9.18–38.46 minutes to restore energy, and stretching muscles.
