Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of leadership in improving the effectiveness of employee performance at PT. XYZ Bogor Branch and the influence of the role of leadership on improving employee performance at PT. XYZ Bogor Branch. The types of research used are case studies and field studies. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the role of leadership in PT. XYZ Bogor Branch applies a mixed leadership style: autocratic, participatory, and transactional. This is assessed from the analysis of the leadership role with indicators such as the ability to make decisions, the ability to motivate, the ability to control subordinates, the ability to communicate, responsibility, and the ability to control emotions. The influence of the role of leadership on employee performance can be seen in five different ways. Criteria: quality, quantity, timeliness, efficiency, independence. Among the 5 indicators, quality, quantity and efficiency are all good, but timeliness and independence still need to be improved.
