Abstract

In the current Covid-19 pandemic situation, a high school teenager needs to have good resilience skills to be able to adapt to the existing situation. However, the fact is that many high school teenagers experience stress, panic, anxiety, and worry about the future during the pandemic. Basically, everyone has the ability to form resilience. However, the difference is how one uses and maximizes those abilities to be useful in dealing with difficult situations. The purpose of this study is to test the relationship of Self-Compassion with the resilience of high school adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted in MAN 1 Sragen a total of 167 people consisting of 145 men and 22 women. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling. The data collection tools used in this study are the Self-Compassion and resilience scale. Data analysis to test the hypothesis used is a product moment correlation technique. Based on the analysis of data between the variable Self-Compassion and resilience obtained a coefficient value (rxy) of 0.737 and sig. (p) of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which suggests there is a significant relationship between resilience and Self-Compassion in MAN 1 Sragen students. The correlation coefficient value is positive which means that the higher the resilience, the Self-Compassion of MAN 1 Sragen students increases.
