Abstract

The existence of the dual role of studying while working that must be done properly creates a series of benefits and risks that cannot be avoided, for this reason, online motorcycle driver students need resilience, which can be improved by having a good locus of control so that these individuals will be able to face, adapt, and survive under pressure and rise from all problematic life conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between locus of control and resilience in online motorcycle driver students in Surakarta. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with sample criteria of active students in Surakarta semesters 3-8 who work as online motorcycle drivers with an age range of 18-25 years. The number of samples used is 100 respondents with a non-probability sampling technique, namely the type of purposive sampling. Locus of control and resilience scale data collection tools in the form of questionnaires and distributed via google form. The analysis technique of this research uses product moment correlation analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the locus of control variable with resilience has a correlation coefficient value (rxy) = 0.449 and sig. = 0.000 (p<0.01) it shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between the locus of control variable and the resilience variable. The results of the r-square test obtained a value of 0.449 which means that the locus of control has an influence of 44.9% on resilience. The level of locus of control and resilience in online motorcycle drivers in Surakarta is in the high category
