Abstract
the purpose of this study is to explain the physical structure of the poems in Joko Pinurbo's Khong Guan Banquet, explain the inner structure of the poems in Joko Pinurbo's Khong Guan Banquet, and describe the suitability of poetry collections as teaching materials for poetry appreciation at the high school level. This research is classified as qualitative descriptive research. The objects of this research are some poems from the book collection of poetry Khong Guan Banquet by Joko Pinurbo while the research subject is the physical structure and the inner structure. The data in this study are phrases and sentences and the source of this research is a book collection of poetry Khong Guan Banquet by Joko Pinurbo. The data collection technique in this study was a reading and note-taking technique. The data validity technique in this study is the data source triangulation technique. This research uses data analysis with a semiotic model reading method. Based on theresults of the research found, the physical structure of the Khong Guan Banquet poem includes; Diction, Imagery, Concrete Words, Figurative, Verification, and Typography, The inner structure of the Khong Guan Banquet poetry includes; Theme, Tone, Feeling, and Message. The results of the research on the poem "Khong Guan Banquet" are in accordance with the basic competence of 3.17 which is related to the students' ability to analyze the building blocks of poetry.
