Abstract

Achievement motivation is one of the determinants that is able to have an influence on individual behavior, so that the individual is encouraged to achieve a coveted or desired advantage. A valid achievement motivation measurement tool is needed to obtain accurate data. The purpose of this study was to test the construct validity of the achievement motivation scale with confirmatory factor analysis. The research method used was Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The sample of this study amounted to 46 respondents. The data collection method used is a questionnaire method using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique was assisted by the PLS SEM software. Each indicator of the achievement motivation variable has a large outer loading value of 0.70. Based on the results of the validity test, each indicator has an outer loading value of 0.70. The discriminant validity value is 0.49. The results of the reliability test, the Cronbach Alpha value of 0.70 is quite good. The achievement motivation instrument meets the criteria of convergent validity based on the calculation of construct reliability.
