Abstract
The government has implemented a new strategy called the zoning system in an effort to foresee educational quality inequalities. Boyolali Regency is one of the regions with one of the higher levels of educational inequality. This is because of the uneven educational facilities there, which include 15 State Senior High Schools that are divided into 22 sub-districts, and because there is still caste discrimination between preferred and less preferred schools. The goal of this study was to ascertain the distribution pattern of high school students' places of origin in Boyolali Regency and the compatibility of this distribution pattern and the zoning system in use there. This study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology, a superimposed map analysis data analysis approach, and field validation checks in the form of interviews. Boyolali State Senior High School 1 and Boyolali State Senior High School 3 have random student distribution patterns, whereas Simo State Senior High School 1 has a dispersed or uniform student distribution pattern. State Senior High School 1 Boyolali corresponded to 27 students, or 7.5 percent, who came from outside the zoning, and 333 students, or 92.5 percent, who came from within the zoning. This indicates that the distribution of origin of students is appropriate for the zoning of State Senior High Schools in Boyolali Regency. According to zoning, State Senior High School 1 Simo has 288 pupils, or 89 percent, from within the zoning and 36 students, or 11%, from outside the zoning. According to zoning, 54 students, or 17% of the total enrollment, come from beyond the designated area, while 270 students, or 83 percent, attend State High School 3 Boyolali.
