Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a very important problem to continue to be studied because juveniles are a part of national assets and are the foundation of hope for the future of the nation, state and religion. Islamic religious education has a very strategic location in realizing the formation of adolescent character, because when viewed from the goals of Islamic religious education which has to do with moral development and life goals of every Muslim. The researcher used a field research method with a phenomenological approach and used observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. The purpose of this research is to describe: a. The forms of juvenile delinquency that occurred in SMP N 1 Ngargoyoso, b. Factors that cause juvenile delinquency that occurred in SMP N 1 Ngargoyoso, c. The strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in tackling juvenile delinquency in SMP N 1 Ngargoyoso. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows: 1. the forms of delinquency that occurred in SMP N 1 Ngargoyoso, namely truancy, smoking, dating, destroying school facilities, bullying, recklessness and riding a motorcycle without a SIM, 2. factors the causes of juvenile delinquency are factors from within the child, family factors and school environmental factors, 3. PAI teacher strategies in tackling juvenile delinquency at SMP N 1 Ngargoyoso are by instilling religious values, activating religious activities at school, approaching students who problems, giving punishment to students who commit misbehavior, forming religious guidance and making visits to the homes of students with problems.
