Abstract

Quantitative research is scientific research that takes place in a systematic, planned, and structured manner, the observations made include everything related to the object of research, phenomena and existing correlations. This study aims to determine the relationship between dual role conflict and psychological well being with work stress on female police officers at the Surakarta Police. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between dual role conflict and job stress on female police officers at the Surakarta Police. Then there is a relationship between psychological well-being and work stress on female police officers at Polresta Surakarta. And there is a relationship between psychological well-being and dual role conflict with work stress on female police officers at Polresta Surakarta. Sampling in this study used a non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique so as to obtain a sample of 80 female police officers who served in the Surakarta Police Station. Collecting data using work stress scale, multiple role conflict scale and psychological well being scale. The data analysis technique used multiple regression correlation technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the correlation value (r) is 0.552 and the calculated F value is 15.431 with Sig. 0.000 <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there is a relationship between multiple role conflict variables and psychological well being and work stress. There is a positive correlation between dual role conflict and work stress on female police officers at Polresta Surakarta, which means that the higher the dual role conflict of a female police officer, the higher the work stress of the female police officer. There is a negative correlation between Psychological Well Being and work stress for female police officers at Polresta Surakarta, which means that the higher the psychological well-being of a female police officer, the lower the work stress of the female police officer. The effective contribution of multiple role conflict variables and psychological well-being has a relationship with work stress on female police officers by 30.5% and 69.5% is influenced by other variables. Based on the results of the categorization of the level of dual role conflict and psychological well being with work stress, female police officers at the Surakarta Police are included in the medium category
