Abstract
Hypertension is a condition where there is an increase in blood pressure that axceeds the normal limit with a disatolic value greater than 90 mmHg and a systolic value greater than 180 mmHg. One of the factors that can reduce blood pressure is physical activity. Relugar physical activity, properly and correctly, can train the heart muscle and peripheral resistance to prevent an increase in blood pressure through dilation (vasodilation) of blood vessels. During physical activity, the pulse rate can increase due to the increase in body temprature and the movements made by the body. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity and blood pressure and pulse levels in all classificationship between physical sufferers at Kartasura Sukoharjo Public Health Center. The method in this study is a quantitave study with an descriptive survey method. Sampling with non-probability sampling: Purposive sampling with predetermined criteria. The number of respondents was as many as 61 respondents. This study uses a baecke questionnaire instrumen for physical activity, and a digital sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure and pulse rate. In this study, the results showed that the respondents who participated in the distributin were mostly on light physical activity as many as 29 respondents (47.5%). Hypertension grade I as many as 37 respondents (60.7%) and respondents with normal pulse rate as mandy as 48 respodents (78.7%). Based on the results of the Spearman Rank Correlation test, there is a significant relationship between physical activity and blood pressure with a p-value of 0.001 and a relationship between physical activity and pulse with a p-value of 0.002. This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between physical activity and blood pressure and pulse levels in patients with hyperension at Kartasura Sukoharjo Community Health Center.
