Abstract
To attain the mission and school’s objectives there must be a tool called curriculum. the curriculum should be dynamic and it means that the curriculum is always changing according to its time, science, technology, the level of intelligence of the students, culture, values, and the need of society. In order to achieve a curriculum which is cooperative, comprehensive, and systematic, so curriculum management is needed. Understand the curriculum management related to how the curriculum is designed, implemented, and controlled (evaluated and improved), by who, when, and in which scope. The scope of curriculum management involves planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum. The purpose of this research is to describe out more about the management of the curriculum at CT Arsa Foundation High School Sukoharjo. This research is a type of field research and uses a phenomenological approach. The phenomenological approach is one type of qualitative research, where researchers collect data by observing to find out the phenomenon of the object to be studied. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Furthermore, based on the result of the research related to curriculum management at CT Arsa Foundation High School Sukoharjo, it was found that the curriculum planning was carried out during the new academic year by involving the curriculum development team which consists of the headmaster, vice headmaster, subject teacher, counsellor, and boarding house representative. The curriculum organizing is divided into three, which are learning, nurturing, and researching. The implementation of the curriculum is divided into two, which are the implementation of the general curriculum and the special curriculum. Moreover, the implementation of a special curriculum is in the student boarding house. The last is the evaluation of the curriculum is held twice, namely in the middle of the semester (micro evaluation) and at the end of the academic year (macro evaluation). The micro evaluation covers the learning process and lesson plans, while the macro evaluation includes grade promotion, student graduation, and in-house training.
