Abstract
Mathematics is a means to solve problems in daily life so it needs to be mastered well, but most students consider mathematics to be a difficult subject, especially grade II students of SD NegeriMakamhaji 03 Sukoharjo. The perception that mathematics is a difficult subject is reinforced by the low learning outcomes of mathematics. The problems discussed in this study are 1) What are the difficulties of students learning mathematics ?; 2) Why do students have difficulty learning mathematics ?; 3) What is the solution that can overcome the difficulties of learning mathematics? This study aims to describe the types of learning difficulties experienced by students, the factors causing mathematical learning difficulties, and efforts to overcome mathematical learning difficulties. This research is a qualitative study with 2 students indicated learning difficulties in mathematics. The techniques used to collect data are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions.
