Abstract

The principal purpose of human rights are for encourage human’s innate freedom and authority. Therefore, human rights which basic and fundamental are the key in rising of humans responsibility to taking care of each other. These purposes are in accordance with Islamic concept specifically with tawhid concept, which is the most principal teaching in Islam. On performing research entitled “Konsep Hak Asasi Manusia Telaah Tafsir Al – Munir Karya Wahbah Zuhaili” author aims to study human rights values contained in Tafsir Al – Munir by Wahbah Zuhaili. Wahbah Zuhaili is one of contemporary Islamic scholar with honest and extensive knowledge. Therefore, in order to analyze this exquisite book, author undergo with maudu’i method throughout studying Al – Quran verses thematically, while collecting data from Wahbah Zuhaili’s books as primary reference, and another books which support the usage of Quranic verses related with human rights as secondary reference. Then, to study human rights related Quranic verses, author used an approach to maqasid syari’ah which involve : freedom of religion and belief, right to life, right to marry and reproduce, and right to economical freedom. The result of this research, are known that human rights in Tafsir Al – Munir by Wahbah Zuhaili has value which can be implemented on solving human rights issues nowadays till future, for example: freedom of religion, right to life, right and freedom to justice, dan private freedom.
